Not Again! Breaking Down Is Just Part of Old Car Ownership, I Guess

Oh no! The curse of the Scirocco strikes again! My 1988 Volkswagen Scirocco 16V decided that it would be fun to overheat! Oh and the fuel pump is failing. Fantastic. I bought this minty Scirocco on Bring a Trailer late last year, and have taken it to a couple car events and on daily errands here and there, and it has been pretty good to me so far. But if you know me and Sciroccos, you knew that a breakdown was inevitable. Today let’s talk about old car ownership, and coming to terms with the fact that old cars often break. And maybe I shouldn’t own old cars if I don’t really love working on them? In the end is all of the trouble worth it?
